Bryan Hara

Deputy Director

Bryan Hara is the Deputy Director at Asian Americans Advancing Justice | Chicago. Bryan has been with the organization for over 10 years and previously held the positions of Director of Finance and Operations, Manager of Programs and Strategic Initiatives, Programs Manager, Leadership Programs Manager, and Leadership Coordinator at Advancing Justice | Chicago. Bryan brings many years of experience in finance, operations, human resources, strategic planning, program development, and event management to Advancing Justice | Chicago. He is very dedicated to achieving our mission of building power through collective advocacy and organizing to achieve racial equity. Bryan focuses on managing the day-to-day operations of the organization and its employees along with long term strategic planning.

Bryan was also the President of the Board for the Japanese American Citizens League Chicago Chapter (JACL – Chicago) for four years along with being a board member for 10 years. Prior to joining Advancing Justice | Chicago, Bryan organized business workshops, training seminars, and ran fundraising events at JACL to raise awareness in the Japanese community. He also spent time in the finance world working at Chase Investments and Edward Jones Investments.  Bryan holds a B.S. in Business-Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. While at IU, he was President of the Indiana Men’s Club Volleyball team.
